I think my muscles are working in a different time zone. I went for dance lesson on monday and my aches are only apparent tuesday night. tell me that's not weird.

Hmm.. and my skin is working actively. Production of black pigmentation is accelerated. I'm visibly tanned now after maybe 3 hrs under the sun. Even my legs have the shorts tan line. tell me that's not weird too.

I need a new camera. Desperately. Any recommendations for cheap and good camera models that I can operate easily, even with my limited level of skills? I want to be able to document my lovely days, with pictures that would last me forever. =)

I am The Sonnet

Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLD)
The Sonnet

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

Always avoid: The 5-Night Stand (DBSM), The False Messiah (DBLM), The Hornivore (RBSM), The Last Man on Earth (RBSD)

Consider: The Loverboy (RGLM)

I found this link on someone's blog and was intrigued enough to follow through with it. Guess it's not too far off the mark. xp comments are most welcomed. lol.

hello world! i've decided to procrastinate redoing my blogskin cause... when blogger does it, they show blog post titles! And my titles all suck or are really candid, crude, obvious...(substitute in any adjective you want!) In any case i refuse to let my titles show so bear with the current skin till another time or till i find out how not to let them show. =)

First day of sch was alright. Nothing really eventful and nothing really boring about it. I have good lecturers and I didn't fall asleep for both my lectures. *claps claps* And i never want to be late for lect again and sit on the stairs. BOO. I felt silly there all alone, i have to get used to it... and learn to thrive in unfamiliar environments. Lets hope my appeal for el mod is successful!!! It has to be!!! all my hopes and dreams lie in that................ hahahaha so drama mama!

Uni is cool.
Sometimes in lecture you can feel as though you are 5.
Playing games such as trying to catch ur friend's finger everytime a word is mentioned.
It really is a playground. Makes you wonder how old you really are sometimes.
See its true.. School's a magical place!!!

The spoilt traffic light?? Red green amber?
It has changed.
Red. =)

I need to get a freaking grip on things.
Losing my temper and emotions right left and center.
This is not the person i want to be.

I need to sit down with my guitar and emo for a while now.
Everything's going to turn out fine.
I just know it will.
Its something to believe in.
I won't deprive myself of that.

I have a lot of blogging to catch up on. Its just overwhelming so i guess i'll just do a point form sort of post. easy peasy.

From where i left off, 28th-2nd was spent overseas in KL, Kajang with singwei and family along with san and linh. Interesting combi of people, of all nationalities!! Places we are from: Me(singapore), linh(vietnam), san(laos), singwei (malaysia). Have to say that mine is the least exotic out of all of them. hahaha. I had a great time over there, bunking over at singwei's place which in my opinion was so comfortable and homey, i felt totally at ease. The company was great too. We went house visiting more or less every day, just moving around kajang meeting his relatives. They were all so welcoming and chatty! One day we even went over to fu shan's house (mutual friend), hahaha feels like chinese new year! I don't think i can remember what i did day to day... it all blurred into one after a while.

In any case, movies there were very cheap!! We met up with wei's friends and caught "the day the earth stood still" which was a BORE... Oh! They have ladies day where the ladies (obviously) get a discount off movies! How cool is that. Then again i hardly understand this concept being applied to a place such as the movie theatre. I mean, think about it, in clubs u can say that this move is to bring in the ladies free so that the guys would pay to come and mingle around... but in the case of a movie theatre, this same reasoning doesn't seem to flow. Hmm... now lets not think dirty. HAHA. Think: large comfortable seats plus darkness. Urgh.

On the one day that we ate in, san decided to treat us to his own cooking. Laos food being prepared by him. All the frenzy in getting all the ingredients ready and available led us to tesco and had the whole crew of us on chopping, slicing, cooking duty while he supervised. Hmm... quite an interesting experience. I helped!! Yes i do cook alright! And in ans to ur qns, no one got food poisoning every single time i cooked. hmph! Watching san cook is sometimes quite maddening because he seems to add a lot of salt and sauce. i couldn't help cringing whenever he grabs the soy sauce or oyster sauce or salt (that is super salty), can't seem to talk sense into him about that. So when the food is finally served and tasted, "i told u so" was really on the tip of my tongue when the food was deemed salty by everyone. Haiz. but of course i kept quiet... its the effort that counts after all. Laos food seem to place a lot of emphasis on spices and garnish. The flavours are very distinct. Lime, lemon grass, mint leaves, chilli, balachan, gill, pandan leaves, banana leaves.. The fish was a great dish. I'm still waiting for photos from linh. It was a spread that night. I even made dessert. =) Anyway anyone looking for a potential boyfriend/husband? San self-proclaims that he doesn't mind being a family man. He'll cook for his family every day, change diapers, and put his family before anything... (oh no!! i totally forgot that he already has a gf... sorry folks!)

On new year's eve we stayed home because the idea of squeezing with the rest of KL at KLCC just wasn't an appealing idea. I was quite happy about it cause it means that i could use the internet too! HAHA. The few days without a phone was bad enough i needed at least internet connection and msn! Haha. see i'm already a slave to technology. While i was online chatting with some of my most fav people, the rest were downstairs scaring themselves watching "The Shutter". i refused to watch. Hahaha. Because i don believe in scaring myself unnecessarily. Should have heard the shrieks and cries. All the "men" downstairs being relegated to whimpering boys. The sound effects were hilarious! When the movie was over, they were all nervous and scared and paranoid. U should have seen the stuff they did!!! Jac came up and grabbed his pistol saying that he won't be sleeping without it beside him that night. And so he laid awake armed with a pistol and a flashlight. Wei went to stand on the weighing scale as soon as he came up, to check if his weight has doubled. Then went to arm himself with a can of deodorant. HAHA!! He sprayed it around the room for good measure and since he had to shower, cowered at the door of the toilet and gave the toilet 2 grand sprays before running away. Yic was also scared, he didn't dare go into the toilet to get changed into his pajamas. Amusing amusing!! It was any wonder how any of us didn't exhaust due to endless laughter that night. It still tickles me thinking about it.

Oh we still caught the fireworks out on the balcony on the new year! Pretty! I tried to capture them but failed to.. sadly. Its really cool watching the fireworks with everyone though. So sweet. Just what i wished for. hahaha. We all went crazy and started shouting "happy new year" to nothing and noone. Who said we were sensible all the time? hahaha. we couldn't see the grand fireworks from KLCC so we watched them on tv. Cool! I did wonder when i was watching the fireworks, what this new year would bring, as well as what certain people back in singapore (esp my family) were doing.

I shall wait (impatiently) for the photos to be uploaded by linh. I think i would look fat in them! Hahahah i was so well fed over there thanks to auntie and uncle. it was a great trip and we got invited back next yr too. hmm that's a thought! =)

2nd of jan. Since san and linh has never experienced a train journey before, we decided to take the 8 hr train back to singapore. I regretted my choice. It was probably my 3rd time on the train and though it is better in terms of facilities and cleaniness, it still doesn't score on accounts of punctuality and comfort. The train was delayed for 1hr30mins!!! The whole journey was so boring i was totally bored out of my mind, stoning and looking out of the window at nothing. Finally when we reached singapore we were all so thankful, we had to keep saying welcome back to singapore. HAHA!! Thanks to someone waiting for me over at singapore. Someone i did miss alot throughout the trip. So glad to see u even though u had to see me at my worst appearance. HAHA. yes i heard all the comments and know i must have looked horrible. Thanks wx for offering to find me and in ur words, "bother me".

3rd jan. Stayed home and slept the morning and most part of the afternoon away! I was really quite drained. Had 4F class dinner at night and i was glad i went. =) the usual people went save for a few missing faces... and as per normal the jokes, the memories, the fun all started pouring out. It was a warm affair with the nonsense expected from the few people... hahaha. as we get older, we add liquor to the mix. I think i can really cultivate a taste for alcohol. xp. naughty liao la! I really like vodka.

4th jan family day. shopping!

5th jan. went to find becky at bugis for lunch. =) long time no see.

6th jan. today... hopes to go to marina barrage tonight! see how it goes...
